RULES FOR 2010
1. The rules committee shall consist of representatives of all four clubs, President and Vice President. The rules committee will have final say on any matters involving the league, including any un-sportsmanlike behavior such as physical or verbal abuse and/or threats of any type towards any person(s) involved in the league.
2. League
starting time is 8:00 A.M., cut off time is 2:00 P.M.,Sunday, January 4th, 2009. Camillus starts shooting at 9:00 A.M.
3. IF
a weather or trap problem arises, the teams will go back to the club that had
the problem for a make up shoot. All
scores count up to the problem. It will
be up to “that club representative” to cancel the shoot and reschedule. Only the shooters that are signed up and paid
by the cut off time of 2:00 P.M. will be eligible to shoot the make up.
4. A shooter must shoot 50 targets at each shoot. The first shoot will cost $20.00 ($7.00 for targets, $13.00 for awards party). The remaining shoots will be $8.00 ($7.00 for targets, $1.00 for awards). Jr. and Sub Jr. shooters will pay $15.00 for the first week and $6.00 thereafter. Jr. shooters ages are 15-17; Sub Jr. shooters are 12-14 years old.
5. A
shooter must shoot within the first four weeks in order to count for team
score. A shooter must make 11 shoots to
be classified in his/her class for the shoot off. Failure to qualify,
will place the shooter in the Open Class at shoot off.
6. Shooters are allowed to make up four shoots; i.e., shoot-back. Make up shoots cannot be shot at the shooters home club unless that is where the missed shoot occurred. For the first two rounds a make up must be made at the club missed. The third or last round can be made up at any club. Make up shoots will count only for individual score NOT for team score. The make up shoot will be shot AFTER you shoot that days league shoot. Only one make up shoot per shooter each week. NO EXCEPTIONS.
7. Winter
league classifications will e: (AA –
94-100); (A – 91-93.9); (B – 88 – 90.9); C – 83 – 87.9); (D – 82.9 – and
under). Your category will be determined
at day of sign up. Categories are as
follows: Adult, Ladies, Vet (65-69),
Senior Vet (70 +), Junior (15-17), and Sub Jr. (12-14).
8. High
average league trophies will be figured on all 12 scores. Prizes will include high gun, ladies, vet and
senior vet. High average trophies for
Junior and Sub Junior shooters will be figured on highest 10 scores. High average trophies for A,B,C,
and D classes will also be figured on all 11 scores. Shooters must have their 11 shoots to be
eligible for high gun of the day at shoot off.
High average trophy prizes are to be money.
9. The
top 8 scores will be counted for team score each week. Total birds will determine the placement of
the teams for the day. Handicap shooting
pertains to team scores only. First
three weeks scores to establish handicap average. Then schedule will be set up to determine
each weeks score.
10. You
must be on club grounds to sign up or be signed up. Do Not sign up
people who are on their way.
11. Squads
will be shot in numerical order whether they are full or not. There will be no practice shooting until all
league shooting is finished. This also
includes practice prior to league start.
12. Guns
cannot be mounted until the shooter before you has
fired. Shooters are allowed two (2) failure to fires per 25 targets. All ammunition must meet and not exceed trap
load requirements, (1350 FPS or 3 dram loads).
If you shoot at a broken target you MUST shoot it over regardless. Scorers are required to call lost and broken
targets. All orange dome targets will be
thrown .
13. The following squad(s) will be #15 designated handicap squads. All 50
targets will be
shot from one trap, the trap will be the choice of the squad.
14. Club
responsibilities: Must have two working
traps. Traps must throw a 49-51 yd.
Target with a 9-12 foot elevation. All
traps to be set in the two (2) hole position. Score sheets must be posted and
maintained. Weekly score sheets and
moneys must be sent to the scorekeeper by Monday of each week.
15. Shoot off: 2010 shoot off at Otisco March 28th, sign up 8:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. sharp.
16. When a
contestant’s score qualifies for more than one trophy, the shooter must choose
which trophy he/she will shoot off for.
The shooters failure to notify the official scorekeeper within 15
minutes after posting the last squad, gives the scorekeeper the authority to
determine the trophy the shooter will shoot for.
17. 50 target shoot off for all individual classes; they must be
shot 25 from each trap. A 25 bird shoot
off for all ties; after shooting 25 birds, and a tie still occurs, the longest
run from front or back at end of 25 birds will determine the winner. All shooting will take place at the 16 yard
line and will be shot off subsequently.
Squads can consist of different class shooters. Except for 50 bird tie, on high gun of the
day, all others will be shot off. Prizes
will be split
equally
for 2nd, 3rd or 4th etc. in class, or places will be determined by longest run
from front or back.
18. There will be a Runner Up
Team Trophy. The prizes are to be money.
19. The
club allotment of $5.00 per shooterwill be appropriated from league fees for shoot off party. A $6.00 fee for guests per person. Host club will provide all necessary
food. No league money is to be used for
alcoholic beverages.
20. Official
scorekeeper to be paid $ 200.00 for his services.
21. “Warm
up time” between trap one and two approximately 5 to 10 minutes in club house
while shooting in inclement weather will be allowed. It will be up to the squad shooting on the
time taken, if they need it.
SAFETY: Eye and Ear protection is mandatory for all
shooters. It is the host club
management’s responsibility to remove any shooter who is conducting him/herself
in an unsafe manner. There will be flags
in all trap houses.
